Frequently Asked Questions

How is WorthyNest® different from other advisory firms?

There are five important aspects that distinguish us from other advisory firms:

  • We take values quite seriously around here. For Christian and Catholic clients specifically, we offer a faith-based investment portfolio.

  • We sign an oath to provide customized advice in our client’s BEST interest, and our only source of compensation is a transparent fee. Learn more about the difference between fee-only fiduciaries and other financial advisors in this video.

  • We’ve invested in industry-leading technology and professional development to help clients get clear answers to their complex problems. WorthyNest® founder & lead advisor Deb Meyer has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2006, CFP® since 2010, and Certified Exit Planning Advisor since 2020.

  • We serve clients across the U.S., leveraging video conference tools if located outside our geographic area of greater St. Louis.

  • The number of new clients is limited, ensuring we deliver incredible value and personalized service.

Why should I hire your firm?

WorthyNest® guides parents through important financial decisions using a values-based approach.

Parents nearing retirement explore “what-if” scenarios and seek our guidance on Social Security timing, health & long-term care insurance decisions, tax rate changes, and inflation.

Small business owners work with us to maximize the value of their business and to have a single, trusted resource who can integrate business and family financial goals with an eye toward tax mitigation.

Mid-career parents often come to us when they have extra income but are unsure if it should be used to pay down debt, build emergency savings, or fund other long-term goals like retirement and education expenses.

WorthyNest® provides clarity, direction, and accountability. Stock market movements and interest rate changes are outside your control, but how you respond to those changes makes a big difference. We add value through financial planning services, investment management services, withdrawal strategies, asset location, cost-effective implementation, and behavioral coaching.

How are you compensated?

WorthyNest® provides family financial planning, investment advisory, and exit planning services. As fee-only fiduciaries, we do not have commissions or any hidden fees.

Our minimum fee is $300 monthly or $900 quarterly for mid-career parents primarily seeking financial planning services.

Alternatively, clients who hire WorthyNest® to directly manage an investment portfolio exceeding $500,000 at our preferred custodian will have an asset-based management fee instead of the flat fee. Financial planning is included with investment management services.

Small business owners receive customized flat fee proposals.
