Guiding Parents Toward Financial Confidence and Clarity
My passion for personal finance began long before I had a career title. As a middle schooler, I found joy flipping through Money Magazine, captivated by the stories and strategies it shared. Nerdy? Maybe. But it planted the seed for what would become my lifelong calling.
When it came time to choose a college major, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and pursued accounting at Saint Louis University—a decision that shaped my professional path. After launching my career at Deloitte Tax, I transitioned into wealth management and spent nearly seven years at Matter Family Office, working with families of significant financial wealth. There, I learned that managing money isn’t just about numbers—it’s about values, vision, and creating a life that aligns with what matters most.
But life isn’t just about work. My husband, Bryan, and I have navigated several major milestones together—raising three wonderful boys, living abroad in Spain for three months, and making a cross-country move. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of pursuing meaningful professional endeavors, including starting WorthyNest® in 2016, writing Redefining Family Wealth, and launching the Beyond Budgets® podcast. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of family life and financial decision-making, as well as the power of aligning money with purpose.
Do These Challenges Sound Familiar?
“I dream of retiring early but worry if we’re financially ready to take that leap.”
“We don’t talk about money much—one of us handles the day-to-day while the other focuses on big-picture investing.”
“With everything happening right now, it’s hard to find time to think about the future.”
If any of these resonate with you, you’re not alone. Managing finances while juggling family priorities isn’t easy, especially when life feels so full. That’s why I created WorthyNest®: to give parents like you the tools, clarity, and confidence to make financial decisions that align with your values and goals.

A Little More About Me
I’m not just an advisor—I’m a wife, mom, author, and podcast host who knows what it’s like to juggle the demands of family life. I’ve been fortunate to share my insights through Kiplinger, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and CNN Business, and I’ve been honored with awards like the CPA Practice Advisor “40 Under 40” and the AICPA Standing Ovation Award.
When not working, you’ll often find me cheering at my boys’ soccer games, enjoying the outdoors, or planning our next family adventure.
